Equity leads to Equality!

Join us in creating a more equitable future for all children in Bangladesh NOW!

What makes Ghuri youth organization and Ghuri school different from other organizations is we are dedicated to fostering a more equitable and inclusive environment for all children and youth in Bangladesh, regardless of their gender identity. To us, Gender Equity means respecting everyone equally, without judging them based on their gender and addressing their historical and social disadvantages. We believe in equal outcomes for women, men and gender-diverse people.

Our programs are designed to address gender-based disparities and empower all children to reach their full potential.

Gender-specific clubs and activities: We are working towards offering gender-specific clubs and activities to provide a safe and supportive space for children to develop leadership skills, such as girls’ clubs focusing on empowerment, boys’ clubs promoting healthy masculinity, and acceptance of all gender identities.

Gender-focused research: We are planning to support our students to conduct research on gender-related issues to inform our programs and advocacy efforts, such as studying the experiences of girls and boys in our programs, conducting research on gender-based violence, analyzing the effectiveness of our gender-specific programs, and collaborating with researchers to advance knowledge on gender equality and child well-being.

Advocacy for Gender Equity: We advocate for policies and practices that promote gender equity at both the national and community levels. Our efforts include working with government officials, policymakers, and community leaders to advance gender equality.
